VISION STATEMENT

Apostolic Refuge Tabernacle is a church that is soul minded and is driven to reach out to the community preaching the truth of the word of God. We aim to love God and love people. We believe that it is our purpose to be "salt and light" (Matthew 5:13,14) in this dark and flavorless world. By allowing Jesus, the light of the world to shine on us and through us, we can impact this community of Ansonia and the surrounding cities, leading them to Christ. Our church serves as a refuge to those in need and a lighthouse for our community!  Our vision and goal is to see the entire Valley evangelized for the kingdom of God! “....And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.” Acts 2:47

BELIEFS

WE BELIEVE the Bible to be inspired of God; the infallible Word of God. "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness" (2 Timothy 3:16).

WE BELIEVE in the one ever-living, eternal God: infinite in power, Holy in nature, attributes and purpose; and possessing absolute, indivisible deity. This one true God has revealed Himself as Father (Creator), through His Son (Savior), and as the Holy Ghost (Indwelling Spirit). (1 Cor. 8:6; Eph. 4:6; 2 Cor. 5:19; Joel 2:28).

WE BELIEVE in water baptism by immersion in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sin.  Through baptism we identify with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." (Acts 4:12, Romans 6:3-6; Colossians 2:11-14; Acts 2:38)

WE BELIEVE in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the initial sign of speaking in other tongues. (Acts 2:4)

WE BELIEVE in holiness. Godly living should characterize the life of every child of the Lord, and we should live according to the pattern and example given in the Word of God. "Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord" (Heb. 12:14).
